The Driftwood Dash & Paddle 
Participants will have the option of participating in the 5k Fun Run/Walk, a 5K Man-Powered Paddle on Lake Tapps, OR the 10K dual event.

Event Options:

  • 1/2K Kid's Dash - Free!
  • 5K Fun Run/Walk - $25
  • 5K Paddle Event - $25
  • 10K Dual Run & Paddle - $45

Event Schedule:

  • 8:00 AM Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration Begins
  • 9:00 AM 1k Kid's Run (free)
  • 9:25 AM 5k Paddle Only Begins
  • 9:45 AM 5k Run/Walk & 10k Run/Walk & Paddle Begin*
  • *Dual Event participants will run first, then transition to the paddle portion.
  • 10:30 AM Participant Barbeque Begins
  • 11 AM Awards & Raffle
  • 11:45ish AM 10K Dual Event Awards & Raffle

Paddle event participants can use paddle boards, kayaks, canoes or other similarly man-powered vessels.  Paddlers will start from shoreline located within the park and are required to wear a coast guard approved PDF and carry a whistle per WA State law.

Restrictions

PADDLE PARTICIPANTS: All vessels (including canoes and kayaks) must have at least one U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-approved Type I, II, or III life jacket for each person on board. All life jackets (PFDs) must be: U.S. Coast Guard-approved, which means clearly marked with the USCG approval number, in good and serviceable condition, readily accessible, of the proper size for the intended wearer. Manually paddled vessels must also have a whistle readily available to the user.
